Investing in mineral value addition is essential for unlocking Tanzania full economic and social potential by ensures sustainable development while creating wealth and opportunities for future generations, perfectly align with the Osaka Expo 2025 and Tanzania broader vision of 2030.

Mineral value addition it refers to the process of enhancing the economic value of raw mineral by refining , processing , or transforming them into finished or semi -finished product.This involves a series of activities that quality, utility and marketability of the minerals.

Tanzania modeling value addition involves creating a structured framework to represent the stages , actors and benefits of transforming raw materials into finished or semi finished products.This model serves as a road map for planning , implementing and optimization of value addition activities.

Stages in the mineral value addition model involves  crushing and grinding to reduce size, basic purification example washing and flotation.

In  refining and smelting stage involves removing impurities and refining raw ores to obtain pure or high quality minerals example refining gold to 99.99 percent.

In secondary processing it consider transforming refined minerals into intermediate products example cutting Tanzanite into jewery grade stone or turning iron ore into steel.

Normally Components of the mineral value addition involves actors such as Government , Private sector , communities and Academic and Research Institutions.

While in Inputs and Resources involves raw materials , energy sources for processing , labor,  technical expertise and financial capital for investment.

Output of  benefits capture by the Model is the country improve economic level, provide  employment opportunities , Industrialization , Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Skill Development.

As well implemented mineral value addition model aligns with Tanzania Vision 2030 by promoting wealth creation , industrialization and sustainable development .It enables efficient  use of the country mineral resources while fostering local and international economic opportunities.
